Current anime: Fruits Basket



The story focus primarily on a recently orphaned girl named Honda Tohru. Due to unforeseen circumstances, she set up & lived in a tent near Sohma Shigure's house. After several incidents, Tohru started to live in the Sohma's house, with a pair of squabbling cousins, Yuki and Kyo, and their guardian, Shigure.



Because of a curse, twelve of the Sohma family members are possessed by spirits of the twelve zodiacs. However, Kyo is possessed by the cat, the outcast member of the zodiacs. When either of the thirteen possessed are hugged by someone from the opposide gender, they'll transform into the animal itself. Hence, they all maintain an unapproachable facade in order to keep people at a distance, to keep themselves or anyone else from getting hurt. The main 'antagonist' in Fruits Basket is Sohma Akito, the head of the Sohma clan.



Through the process of interacting with the Sohma family, she helped open them up and break down their masks. As the series goes on, Yuki & Kyo became very protective of Tohru, along with her two best friends Hanajima & Arisa. Despite trying to act unconcerned, Yuki & Kyo tried -- in their own ways -- to protect Tohru from Akito's schemes.
